Learn how to rapidly design, prototype, and share interactive experiences at the speed of thought.
In this hands-on lab you’ll immerse into a new platform and learn powerful tricks to remove friction
from your design process.
This workshop will focus on advanced XD features such as animation, voice, design with real data and using plug-ins and integrations to extend XD's functionality. A special focus will be on design systems and collaboration across distributed teams.
You will learn:
• How to leverage XD to design, test, review, and hand off for production in collaborative environments and distributed teams
• Create and maintain a design system at scale
• Designing with data and for voice interfaces
• Use plug-ins and app integrations to extend XD's functionality
Workshop tickets are sold separately from other conference events.
Outline
Following intros and proper expectation management, attendees will create an interactive prototype from scratch that is shared for feedback and delivered to production. Participants are to touch every feature of the software and will leave the workshop ready for production work using XD.
Along the workshop, participants will discuss additional ideas and feature requests with the XDI team and the group, and gain a good understanding on how XD can help solve day to day challenges now and in the future.
Target audience
This workshop is for designers with prior experience using XD or other design tools, that are looking to dive deep into more advanced workflows and functionalities, learning best practices along the way.
Attendees are required to bring their own macOS or Windows 10 computer and an iOS or Android device. Detailed instructions will be sent to attendees in good time before the workshop.

Hany Rizk
Hany Rizk is a UX & Product Strategist based in Berlin, running No BS, an innovation studio that runs Design Sprints to help companies solve real challenges and design meaningful solutions. For over 10 years he has designed and led in-house products and services for large corporations such as Volkswagen, and various startups — including his own Somuchmore that was later acquired. Hany mentors startups and regularly talks on UX, Product, and Innovation. He is a member of the XDI team.
