MiCo

Milano Convention Centre

Right in front of the new CityLife district, MiCo is part of the urban project that reshaped a district of Milan best known for its car-manufacturing heritage.

Participants walked through buildings and installations that are defining the future of architecture and design - such as the Cometa: the rooftop of MiCo designed by architect Mario Bellini (of Olivetti and Domus Magazine fame), as well as buildings designed by Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind and Arata Isozaki.

Politecnico di Milano

Campus “Durando”

Our workshops took place at Politecnico of Milan - in their Campus “Durando” - situated in Bovisa - the north-west neighborhood of Milan, famous for its industrial past. The Politecnico is a place of avant-garde training, a meeting point of different cultures, and definitely the perfect place to host our workshops this year: In 1993 Milan, with its Politecnico, became the elective birthplace of the Degree Course in Industrial Design, the first of its kind in Italy. Politecnico of Milan links nowadays architectural and artistic studies, with their creativity and focus on form, to technical, scientific and engineering studies.

The School of Design in Politecnico of Milan is today the largest international university for the training of product, communication, interior and fashion designers, both by number of students and of teaching staff.
