Satellite
Community Dinners
Here's your chance to have dinner with an Interaction 20 Speaker and enjoy some of Milan's best
restaurants. Each dinner will be hosted by an IxDA Milan & Turin local, with a speaker as the
featured guest. Restaurants include the many ways to experience Milan's culinary scene – trendy hot
spots, neighborhood trattorias, pizzerias, cocktail lounges and even a restored 17th century
farmhouse.
Dinner conversation will focus on topics related to the Speaker’s presentation, (that
is, if you don’t start talking about the food!) Dinners will take place on Wednesday 5 February
2020, from 8pm to 10:30pm.
Community Dinners, like all Interaction Week 2020 Satellite Events, are only open to attendees with a ticket for the Main Conference. Names will be verified upon registration and badges will be checked upon arrival.
As space will be limited, we will ask you to register. Registration will open on
Friday 24 January at 17:00 CET (Milan local time).

Q&A for participants
How can I book a spot at a dinner?
To book a dinner, go to this page and complete the form. You will be asked to buy a ticket through IxDA to reserve your spot. The €12 fee is not a deposit for your dinner, but goes directly to IxDA to cover the costs of managing and organizing this series of events.
How do I pay the restaurant?
Each attendee will then pay for what they eat and drink for dinner. If you choose to order a bottle of wine or share your meal, please, make sure everyone at the table is fine to share the bill.
What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?
Tickets are limited non-refundable, but transferrable. If you are sick or something happens you will be responsible for transferring your ticket to someone else. Head over to IxDA Slack and post in the #interaction20 and #ticket-swap channels to find your replacement. Attendees are responsible for managing transfer of funds on their own.
Vegetarian or diverse food requirements
All of our restaurants have vegetarian options on the menu. For other dietary requirements (e.g. lactose free, gluten free, etc), please review the restaurant menus on their websites. Kindly let us know on the booking form so that we may inform the restaurant if necessary or address any specific concerns. We have done our best to choose locations that have inclusive menus while at the same time giving attendees an opportunity to discover local food culture and cuisine.
Will I know people at the table?
For each restaurant, there are 8 conference attendees, 1 IxDA Milan & Turin host and 1 special guest. The small size of the dinner will allow everyone to interact and get to know each other and the special guest.
Where are the restaurants located?
All of the Community Dinners take place at restaurants within the city of Milan, and within a few minutes walk of a metro station. Not sure where is convenient for you? See the dinner locations on a map
Bars and Restaurants
We’ve selected the best places for you, from traditional italian restaurants, to the best pizzerie in town to cozy places we go to chat with the chef. Be mindful of the range of prices, which range from 25€ to 60€ (not including drinks) and not all restaurants have vegetarian options. Take a look at their websites!
