Designing Across Senses

Christine Park

Based on the best-selling O'Reilly book, "Designing Across Senses: A Multimodal Approach to Product Design" this workshop includes an overview and examples of multimodal design.

There have never been more ways for people to interact with technology than now. More and more experiences blend multiple interface modes together across a much wider range of uses and contexts. In this session, we will look at the different kinds of interface modes, the different kinds of usability they create for people, and how to blend them together into cohesive product experiences. We will start off by how people experience both technology and the physical world: through our senses.
