Workshop
Designing Human-Centered AI Products
Di Dang, Kristie Fisher & Vyacheslav Polonski
Curious about designing human-centered AI products? We’ll get hands-on in applying frameworks and
tips so that you leave with an understanding of what your role looks like in designing for AI.
What is the role we as product creators play in responsibly building artificial intelligence-driven
products?
Google’s People + AI Research team (PAIR) invites you to a workshop to help you gain a
stronger understanding of how to approach design for AI. We will share insights from the newly published
People + AI Guidebook, a resource Google product teams have utilized to navigate AI product decisions over
the past year.
Through applying hands-on exercises, you will learn how to:
- Ensure that your AI
model optimizes for the right thing
- Make sure your training data aligns with the user need you’re
solving for
- Set your AI system up for success by helping users build the right mental models
-
Define an AI explainability strategy to help appropriately calibrate user trust
You will leave with
an understanding of how you can design AI products in a way that complements human expertise, so that your
users feel in control of the technology, and not the other way around.
Workshop tickets are sold separately from other conference events.
