Learning from Leaders - A New Research Study on Managing & Mentoring Trends
Rebecca Rusk & Tamlin Tromp
Learning from Leaders - A Comprehensive Look into Growing Talent in a Shifting Landscape
Leading talent through ch-ch-changes is no easy task. We looked into managing and mentoring practices around the IxDA community and beyond. Our actionable research will be shared for the first time at Interaction 20 in Milan.
Managers and mentors must build and grow their teams in addition to leveraging dynamic and changing technology, increased user expectations, connectivity, and tools.
With today's variation of experiences and talents across practitioners, what are we doing as leaders to support our colleagues along their journey, and what skills are sought after?
In this talk, Tamlin and Rebecca will share insights gained through interviews and a survey with managers and other leadership positions. Through introspection into our own practice and our community, we hope to better connect with leaders today and equip leaders of tomorrow.
